I want to create a site where superuser can access and change any part of it and ordinary members can access and change their personal area only. Annonymous users can see the persoanl areas but cannot change anything. Access to a member's area is via a subdomain of the form member.mydomain.com. The member can administer their area via member.mydomain.com/admin with login and password. Members ability to modify their area is based on a set of common templates and style sheets - no coding required or allowed. Members would have access to a gallery module and a shopping cart and assorted toys like hit counters etc.

Is this in the realm of Xoops? If not, can you recommend something? I was looking at Zope/Plone but the learning curve is steep and the documentation poor.
