I tried to install montisarts_main them but instead of installing the tar.gz file in admin/templates in XOOPS i installed it in my main themes folder and then selected it as the default theme in admin>preferences>General. How do i change the default theme without being able to login to the site?
Thanks

Try:

http://www.yoursite.com/admin.php or user.php

See if you get a log in screen. If you use auto login hack, you may be already logged in.

Anyway try that let us know if it worked.

Do you have access to the database through phpmyadmin? another option is to edit the table that contains the setting for default theme.

*edit* so i see :(

you can't run phpmyadmin through FTP. Does your site hosting come with CPanel? If it does, you can access the database through phpmyadmin. Just click on the MySQL Database Icon, and on the page that opens, at the bottom is the link to phpmyadmin.
If you get that far, post back and i'll let you know what to do.
