[size=x-small]Disclaimer: I've RTFM..and tried Searching the Forums - so forgive me if this has already been dealt with (and please respond with a link to the answer, etc) as I didn't find an answer/option.[/size]
I'd like to find a way to 'exclude' events from the "Coming Events" module. For example, I'm using XOOPS in a Church environment - and my 'Coming Events' box is filled with the normal Sunday worships...people are expecting those, I'd like the 'Coming Events' box to only show things that are the 'unexpected'.
Seems like if I add another category to the Calendar - say, "Exclude from Coming Events"....then we'd have a clickable way to include/exclude what's going to show up in the block. Seems like it would require two rewrites of code:
1). Change the pull-down in the Calendar Categories to not list the category 'Exclude from Coming Events"....we wouldn't need to filter/show those..but I guess in reality, this is minor
2). Rewrite the "Coming Events" theme in the line:
<{foreach item=event && category != "Exclude from Coming Events" from $block.events}>
Although I'm sure my pseudo-code needs much work to 'make it work'...and I'm sure that I've missed some kinda nuiance in the code (like how to NOT count the excluded events from the 'How many to show' count)....but that's why I'm asking here and not trying to code myself (and create the hole in my wall from banging my head on it).
