Re: Banner module problem
by Guitarsage on 2005/2/28 23:03:46

Some how I have seemed to get it to work... My first attemept, before I posted this subject was the way you described, but then about an hour later I made a new client, and since the page I want the banner to point to is local I just typed in
"/xoops/page.php" and for the image "/xoops/img.gif" and it seemed to work fine after that.

Maybe just a problem with the first client, thanks anyways

This may or may not be the problem.

Make sure you are using full URL pathway.

For the click url:
http://www.yoursite.com
not
http://www.yoursite.com

Same with image url
http://www.yoursite.com/images/yourimage.gif
not
http://www.yoursite.com/images/yourimage.gif

Hope it is as simple as that.

Peace

Banner module problem
by Guitarsage on 2005/2/25 23:41:29

I searched these forums a little bit and can not find the answer to my question...

In the admin cpanel, the banner module that is built in, I can not get any of the links that I set for a banner to work. Like if I type in the link it goes fine, but when I click on the banner and it does the tracking link and does not continue to the site. Can someone help me, I know I can just use the html option, but I need to track the hits.

btw I tryed php adsnews or whatever it is, and I didn't like it, and could not get it to work right.
