Hi All,

I am writng a conversion script from mpn -> XOOPS ()

I am trying to convert the forums to newBB2.0 and ran into a field called 'pid' in the xoops_bb_posts table.

Does anyone know what this field is for and what the data in it represents ?
My test data has yet to give me any clues.

Kind regards, Highlander

PID = Parent ID = the Post ID where the replay ( Post ) belongs to:

I.E. Starter Post of the Topic is 900 you answer so the new Post has the ID 901 and the PID is 900 ( because the answer belongs to Post 900 )

Thanx Predator,

That was exactly the info I was looking for.
To make this thread useful to others :

The value of '0' in the 'pid'-field indicates that the post started the topic.

Kind regards, Highlander
