"Latest XOOPS news" Block, How?

Good Day and Happy New Year to all Xoopsers.

I've got a question, how did xoops.org, create the "Latest XOOPS news" block on the main page?

I've gone through all the available blocks in my own install of XOOPS 2.0.9.2, couldn't find a similar block.

Am I missing out of something?

Any pointers is greatly appreciated.

You can use the spotlight module to create something similar. Altough I think they’ve hardcoded some of what you see directly in the block.

Could any of the site developers be so kind as to share the "hack".

Better yet, why not include it as a block for the news modules?
