My moderators wish to bring over some threads from the old server (newbb1) to the new server (newbb2). Before dumping the old private forums I copied the db and have them on a test server. I upgraded to newbb2 and I have the forum and threads I'd like to keep.

Anyone know how I can cleanly get these threads or the entire forum into a new server? The new server is already active so I can't just dump the tables there.

There looks like a lot of details with ids that won't allow me to simply SQL the posts across. One good thing is that I used the old users table to populate the new so the uids are correct. Before I try to match up forum_ids and try to prevent other clashes maybe there is an easier way.

hmm, export thread and forum, and then import...... would be nice. BTW, the print and PDF functions look nice except it deals with a single post and not the whole thread?

Faced the exact same problem a month or so ago, but decided not to bother due to a lack of time. From what I could see there needed to be one or more fields updated in every NewBB table. A merger script would be the best bet.
