We recently changed over from Article Manager 0.16 to HQ-ITs AMS system.

We started seeing strange connection drops to our database so I cleaned out the cache and the templates, removed the old AMs module. We now keep receiving the error:

"This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

Error [Xoops]: Unable to connect to database in file class/database/databasefactory.php line 34"

Database config info seems correct, host says the database server is fine. MySQL and PHP debugging bring back nothing.

We also have the 0.3 stats module and the DoS protection module running.

Not sure, database has never gone down in 6 months. Just seemed odd that the problems began during the module migration. Thought maybe there's something in the database causing the problem.

Resolved the problem, ip address of my database server had changed. Coincidence and all modules are working fine.
