Try adding back the categories as they were and change their category ids (look into the topics table and see what category ids the undisplayed topics have). Then I think hte topics would come back to be displayed.

Alright I added back the category that the forums were in, I am kind of enept at the rest of what I need to do. Where exactly would I change their category ids? I can't find it anywhere in the admin console

You can view topic.
You cannot start a new topic.
