My current Setup is:

Under Preferences, Mail delivery Method is PHP mail().
SMTP Host(s) is pointed to a SMTP Exchange.

The problem:

This problem will happen only if XOOPS tried to send an e-mail message to a server running qmail. Unfortunately, qmail spotted a problem: your mailer sent a bare LF.
Sending emails is working without any problem if XOOPS tried to send an e-mail to a server NOT running qmail.

Error Message:

I had find this error under SMTP MS-Exchange.
"See http://pobox.com/~djb/docs/smtplf.html."
