"clients are using or haven't closed the table properly"

that is the warning I get on many of the tables when I check the mySQL database through my control panel.

Any ideas why this is happening? I click repair and it seems to go away but I would rather it wasn't something I had to worry about.

oh I am using 2.0.7.3 but it's been happening for a while

I think that's normal for a busy MySQL database.

Instead of using "repair table", using "check table" should also clear the condition.

thanks. I was hoping that was all it was.

I have had this strange intermittent but serious problem with people logging in and then going to post something and suddenly they are logged in as someone else. I am still searching for the cause of this.
