thats the error i get when i try and do a file upload. i have set the max execute time and input time in php to 6000, increased thread size from 8m to 128m (just for testing) still same problem in both firefox and ie. made sure the uploads directory was web server writable as well, anything im missing? thanks

Sounds like you are limited via apache:

If this is your own server then you can change this.

In /etc/http/conf.d, there is a file called php.conf there is an entry :
#
# Cause the PHP interpreter handle files with a .php extension.
#

SetOutputFilter PHP
SetInputFilter PHP
LimitRequestBody 524288

that seems like it would fix my problem!
unfortunatly im running freebsd 5.2 with apache 1.3 and there is no php.conf file :( any idea how i can make one or where i can put this? i tried in the httpd.conf file but that didnt work :/ thanks tho, i have a lead!
