I would like to start off using XOOPS to create a webpage for my friend that is mostly informational about a sport. No forum etc.. at first and I don't want viewers to post comments to.
My firend is leary of technology in the first place and I don't want to shock them! (I want to gradually scale up their site with the new functionality)

So my question is: How do I post new items? Create a new block? Or do I use the sections module? What about links in a side menu to each page?

This is a great app and I would like to learn how to use it correctly. (my site will use all of the best features in the future.)

I have a question that I don't see on it though (but could be wrong :)).

I have decided to change my installation to another directory in my webroot. Do I need to reinstall or if not, do I need to make any modifications to any of the files regarding paths?
