Hi

Is there any module code template, for example a page with complete left and right block but emply center block , so that new user can start workging on it from there..

Anyway, i am asking this becasuse i dont know how to make modules in XOOPS and rest of thing, but i have written a php script that reads external html contents and integrate into existing page.

What i was trying to do is bring up any external html page in the center block as tinnycontent module does, the only difference is that in a tinny connent block you can have just single page and you cannot have multilinked page showing there content in same place but with my code you can bring in entire achives of 1000s of page interlinked, all the content will be shown in the same block without any kind of frames or thing.

so can anyone give me php script that will print the header, leftblock , blank center block and then right block followed by footer.

i will feed in my code to print the html pages in that center block.

also a link to module development for beginers would be handy
Rest i can do i think.
thx

Please have a look at the wiki at http://wiki.xoops.org

There are probably 2 interesting links for you ..

Thanks a lot Chapi,
You really made things very easy for me.
Well i read http://wiki.xoops.org/wakka.php?wakka=XoopsStaticContent
and found that it works only for a page which doesnot have external links.

What i have comeup with is no matter whats the link is the page will always open in the center module of the site. Thus practically its possible to open http://www.xoops.org in the center colum of my site, and then to cetian extent i can even browse the xoops.org from my module.

But as of now i have restricted it to read just .html /.htm files so that no misuse is done.

What i have at the momentis just a single php file which does all this things :)

Need to make some kind of module so that i can be installed, and have some menu or so to show all the external links that you want to show in your page.

I am working on it :) Hopefully will be able to do that.

That sounds like a great Idea...sort of like Frames in xoops?

no its not using frames, as in frames you have to define the size of the frame, thus if the external html file is long then the frame size, then you see that navigation bar,

What i have come up with is a frame less solution, its integration of two pages, the XOOPS vairous module sets and the external page, its also practically possible to show those content in any block that you want, or any where you want.

the only problem is i dont know all the module making stuff, would appreciate if some one can come up and help me in doing that. :)
