anyone knows of some example classes/files where the XoopsErrorHandler class is being used?

The class XoopsErrorHandler is defined in class/errorhandler.php and instantiated in include/common.php. The class constructor registers an error handler function and a shutdown function. Those registered functions get called automatically, so there are no other places in the code where the class is referenced.

ah right. does that explain the black screens i get each time i get any problems? (eg something wrong in the xoops_version.php would show me a black screen when going to the admin panel etc)
