I'm trying to convince a site to switch to XOOPS instead of their hand-coded HTML site. Almost everything they want in a site is easily covered by Xoops, with many extra features they hadn't even considered, however I do need a module for a certain part of their site:
The site is a fan/information site for Playstation etc RPG games, and they have extensive information on the site on these games. I would have to find a way of incorporating this into Xoops. The format required would be:

Menu 1- Game Series
Game series 1 (For instance, Final Fantasy)
Game series 2
Game series 3
Etc

When a link on above menu is clicked, you get a new page, with Centre block game series image, and menu on left:

Menu 2
Final fantasy 1
Final Fantasy 2
Etc

When a link above is clicked, you get a new page with centre block image and menu on left:
Characters
Weapons
Etc

thereafter, each link above would bring up a different centre block with information, images etc

Each link on the main menu (game series) would have these sub-sections.

Can anybody suggest a module that would allow me to achieve this? I'm hoping I can just select one, without having to install and try out dufferent modules

Apart from the menu blocks, I'd say that WF-Sections would be a good place to start. WF-Sections allow you to have sub-sections, sub-sub-sections and so on and so forth, so having a section called "RPG Games" with a subsection called "Final Fantasy" with a subsection called "Final Fantasy I" with subsections "Characters", "Weapons" etc. is possible.

Making the menu block is a bit trickier, but should be possible with some clever coding to fetch all subsections to that section, you are in - or show the main sections if not currently viewing a sub-section.

I don't have time for it, and afaik neither has Catzwolf, so either find someone to do it or mess around yourself.

Good Luck
