is there a way to make a button that auto jumps to the most recent post in a thread on newbb?

I have my post chronologically ordered, and some threads get several pages deep, I have the recent topics block running on my page, and it would be nice to have a little ICON that jumps to the newest post in the thread displayed in the latest post link...

Phpbb has something like this... the icon looks like this

Any Ideas? It would be a major enhancement for the newBB module
