I am in the process of converting from PostNuke to XOOPS and I have hit one bump in the road that I can't seem to get past. I will tell you how I do it in PostNuke and maybe someone could explain how to accomplish the same thing Xoops. This one is pretty much a conversion stopper if I can not over come it.

In postnuke I have my site to default to news on the the main page. When I submit new news it also polutales the topics so it is easy for my users to go back and find things that are months old by narrowing their search down to the topic the item would fall into. Now I have XOOPS setup with my news as the default for the main page. The problem is that there is no topics that I can see. So if I post news and the user that visits wants to find something that is old, they have to know which month it was in beause they can't just pick the topic on what they are looking for they must use archive and know the month. Any help would be apreictaed.
