getimagesize is not finding the file

Just popping in

Since: 2003/12/2

Warning: getimagesize("./images/" . "$filename"): failed to open stream: No such file or directory. I know for a fact that the file is there. And when i use absolute path name it works. I'm not sure what's going on here. can anyone help thanks.
