I installed XOOPS via Fantastico, but it setup version 1, RC 3.0.4. I would prefer to use the latest stable version which I believe is 2.0.5. Should I start over by replacing the XOOPS directory with a fresh download? What about the created MySQL account? I haven't started changing things yet.

My site http://www.neun.com is running Apache/1.3.29 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.2 PHP/4.3.3 FrontPage/5.0.2.2634 mod_ssl/2.8.16 OpenSSL/0.9.7a on Linux.

I don't know PHP, but I know HTML and many other languages.
Thanks

If you have the ability to install the files yourself, I would recommend downloading the 2.0.5 package, uploading to your server, and using the XOOPS installer rather than Fantastico. Simple instructions are available on the XOOPS wiki. In the past there have been reported a few problems with the Fantastico installation on certain versions of XOOPS (e.g. it won't let you change the site name in preferences). If you haven't added anything to the site yet, you can drop all the database tables and they will be recreated by the XOOPS installer.
