| by andycleff on 2005/6/14 7:10:35 It appears that in the "Top News" block that the value of the "Display xx articles" not only controlls how many articles to show, but also controls the length of the title characters. The field "length of the title xxx characters" does nothing. (In the Top News II block, the "length of title" work fine.) One other minor bug, when the Stories module is "updated" the edits I've made to block settings are returned to their defaults. And finally, the date Dec 31, 1969 appears when there should be no info displayed. Anyone now how to fix these things? Oh, did I mention I really like Stories and want to keep using it? I'm not just complaining.... |

| by andycleff on 2005/6/14 6:47:54 Revisiting this with XOOPS 2.0.10 and Stories 0.9. I am trying to character count displayed for the title displayed in the Top News block. I tried changing "length of the title" in the blocks admin edit for top news. But no effect. Also is it possible to turn off date display in the Top News block when the order is "Publish Date" Site is http://www.union-city-nj.org Those titles are pretty short.... |

| by dkoller on 2004/8/19 2:21:12 I am new to xoops, and this was the very first question I had and I found help right away. Thanks to all. It seems that some of the information given in the forum is pretty old, and in my version of xoops, it was a very easy fix I made by going into blocks and then the block for the news I wanted to change and then there's a window to type in whatever length you want the title to be. But this forum was helpful. You da man. |
