Yes, but where should that timer be? The webserver doesn't know, when the request was sent and thus not how long the loading time has been. The only measure, we have available, is the processing time... which takes processing to do something about (see the paradox?)

I am trying to find out why my site has problems. In the meantime i am cleaning it up bit time as there are a lot of redundant files. But getting back to the redirect question. What about a timer? If the site can't be loaded in say 10 secs then a redirect occurs?
