I'm also posting this for the benefit of others who may be interested in other options available to them. | by Chainsaw on 2004/3/23 3:29:51 Well I haven't seen too many GPL PHP based helpdesk that suit my needs. The closest I've found is IRM. Their website and demo is at http://www.stackworks.net/view.php/irm/index.html IRM is good because it gives me 1. Hardware Inventory 2. Network Devices Inventory 3. Software license inventory 4. Helpdesk tracking (linked to hardware) + email updates 5. Anonymous Helpdesk submission 6. FAQ 7. Knowledgebase The current version is quite stable but it still need quite a bit of work before it comes up to commercial helpdesk standard. I'm running this at the office, but not integrated into XOOPS. If I am a PHP guru I will probably spend all my time making it into a XOOPS module. It has a lot of potential. |

| by rabideau on 2004/3/23 3:10:33 I have been using a product from zegenie (available on sourceforge). You can see it at: http://www.eirenicon.org/BUGS/index.php You can login with guest/demo as the username/password combo. I would love to see this made into a XOOPS module. It is very useful, powerful, and small.

| by Lance_ on 2004/3/23 0:45:35 If you plan on moduling a ticket system, do look at osticket. It was started just don't think it was finished. In any case, this is a product I am quite interested in. https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=14336&forum=4#forumpost58222 Cheers. |

| by cuckston on 2004/3/22 21:26:49 I see what you mean. I have seen a lot of other help desks that run on php. I'm wondering if i can incorporate one into xoops. I already have phplive intergrated into it by just using a custom block. |
