This is a major feature I'm looking for too, and as PureLuXus mentioned this maybe available in the next major release.

I know people have mave made these changes them selfs, a search of the forums may help turf up some usefull info if you really cant wait.

Are the changes really that extensive?

One of the advantages of Object Oriented code is that changes like that should be relatively easy.
Adding user fields?
by jbwiv on 2003/12/17 20:29:16

I wish to add a user field to the user info stored by xoops. Looking through the code, it's starting to appear that this is a fairly major undertaking...requiring sweeping modifications.

I hate to do this...it'll make upgrades hell.

Are there any modules I'm aware of that allow you to add user fields without making such major code changes, or is there another solution someone could suggest?

Thanks!

jbwiv
