The Blue color background looks good, as well as the circle.

Maybe you can make two sets of icons, one with the Blue color, and one set without the background, so people can choose.

Another way to do it is to show a screenshot of the Admin with different sets of icons, so people can see how it actually looks in real environment?

An advantage of using a colored background shape is:
- Same size for the icons
- homogeneity of all icons

Disadvantages:
the inner image is smaller and for icons in size 32 pixels or less, it is a bit tight

I want to bring my work to a new icons set for admin user interface !
There is 2 sets : "default" and "transition".
What about a new icons set ?

I can work on this icons set here :

I 've got the source images so I can modify all elements in theses icones : (vectoriels source so any size)

What about this background (XOOPS color):

Now, I want to know your opinions on some elements:

Background : Yes / No
If yes :

Background color a ? (#hexcode)
Background color b ? (#hexcode)
Background color c ? (#hexcode)
Background form : circle
Background form : ovoid
Background form : square
Background form : Reuleaux triangle
Background form : Other...

Let me know if i should start with this background color base (XOOPS color) or if it's too vibrant.
