Re: can not upload file in News

For security reasons, as a default, we provide only very limited set of files that can be uploaded. You can define what files can be uploaded to your site with News in the module's Preferences.

For a list of potential options, you can check out the file:

\include\mimetypes.inc.php

However, we do not recommend to allow uploading HTML or similar files by your users, because they could contain viruses. If it is only for the Admin, then it's a different story...

These messages are not related to Uploading, and are just info for the developer to make some updates to the code, but they don't cause any issue for the user.

What version of PHP, XOOPS and News do you have?

Were you able to upload files previously? Or are you trying to do it for the first time and it's just not working?
