| by Lupin on 2015/1/30 14:12:49 Hum ... strange ... after a pair of unsuccessfully try , I decidet to do "tabula rasa" and restart. A website with a fresh xoops 2.5.6 release and a second one with 2.5.7.1 .... once installed everything ( core and modules only in english under a friend suggestion ) I imported the whole old DB with the 3.08 version of forum DB. In both cases all runs perfectly. Also modules just not "modern" .... Could be this the secret? Some languages problems ? Ty Pino |

I installed NewBB 4.3 ( irmtfan way ) and I import CBB 3.08 Db.No errors durning import and the system seems running well, but ... I noted this pair of problems : 1) Block "last replied topics" is ok in administration page, but is not visible in the public website. 2) When I click on "Go to post" icon ( the doubled arrow ) I obtain a blank page ( I mean the content , not the whole web page, like in previuos point ). Any suggestions ? Pino |

Yes, just copy the files form the version 4.3 over, and update the module. Normally, what I do, after the update, I rename the old folder to something else (e.g. /newbb_3.08 or /newbb_old), and copy again the files from 4.3 to a new /newbb directory. This way I don't avoid clutter with some outdated files. |

| by Lupin on 2015/1/19 21:30:50 Hello there, just a simple question : I have some websites build using xoops ( 2.5.5 and 2.5.6 ) I have already used NewBB 4.3 in one of those with only a little bug in user preferences settings. Now I would to try Xoops 2.5.7.1 with NewBB 4.3 ... the question is : can I import a database from a CBB 3.08 version ? I read it should be possible to upgrade from a old CBB/NewBB version , so it should be possible to import database ... Thanks for your kind answer  Pino |
