Re: Upgrade from 2.4.2 to 2.5.0?
| by allnewtome on 2010/12/26 0:45:08 OK, cool. I've a problem with saving the template files too - could you help with that? (Thinking of doing it manually maybe.) Thank you very much, and hope I didn't disturb your Christmas too much! P.S. For stupid people like me, how about: Upgrading from XOOPS 2.0.14-2.0.16 or 2.2.1-2.4.4 (using the full package) (Replacing 2.0.16 for whatever is correct)

by Mamba on 2010/12/26 0:00:40 OK, I've changed it to: Upgrading from XOOPS 2.* above 2.0.14 and 2.2.* (using the full package) I hope, it's more clear now. Remember: you have to pay attention to every point in the upgrade instructions, no shortcuts. Also, don't forget: Quote: If you use custom templates, you should convert them into files inside your theme folder before upgrading.

by allnewtome on 2010/12/25 22:46:54 Thank you. Maybe the release notes do need to be amended, because people like me might not know that 2.4 is included as part of 2.2. Best wishes - wish me luck!

by Mamba on 2010/12/25 21:25:10 Quote: So I'm just as confused as before! (about upgrading from 2.4.2). For 2.4.2 you use these instructions: Upgrading from XOOPS 2.0.* above 2.0.14 and 2.2.* (using the full package) Only if you already have 2.4.5, then you use the: Upgrading from XOOPS 2.4.5 (easy way)

by allnewtome on 2010/12/25 18:05:48 Thank you. I have just had a look at the comments on the release notes page - someone asked about upgrading from 2.4.3 to 2.5.0 and was told by Mamba to follow the instructions under 'Upgrading from XOOPS 2.0.* above 2.0.14 and 2.2.* (using the full package)'. So I'm just as confused as before! (about upgrading from 2.4.2). -- I've also got a problem downloading the template files... I wonder could you help here -- Happy Christmas to you too!
