See this thread. Same advice but different section of the release notes applies.

The instructions are about as clear as we could make them. Just take it one step at a time and don't skip anything. Work on a backedup local site if in doubt.

I have XOOPS 2.0.17, and i want to UPDATE it to 2.4.4 without losing my database of info,pics, and videos.
Where can i find the appropriate update package ??
and if someone can simplify the exhaustingly complex instructions from the release note of XOOPS 2.4.4
