| by red_Slider on 2009/11/7 14:15:16 So in order: 1. Clone templates in : http://www.yourxoopssite.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=tplsets 2. Go to the system preferences: http://www.yourxoopssite.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=preferences&op=show&confcat_id=1 3. Set fild "Check templates for modifications ?" to "YES" 4. Set field "Default template set" to your template clone (which you did in step 1) 5. After changes redo step 3, and set "Check templates for modifications ?" into "No" for security reasons. 6. Clean cache and templates_c folders on your server. 7. Go into the blocks or templates you want to change and do this. CHanges will be visible after refreshing page. PS Mboyden "Don't leave home without it." I love this sentence!!!

| by gordo on 2009/11/7 11:28:29 Thanks a lot people, for the advice for what seems quite trivial, I will play around around with the cloned templates and simply keep going until I get what I would like to achieve. I do believe that also involoves the themes as well. Thanks once again appreciated |

| by mboyden on 2009/11/7 4:33:24 If you cloned the templates, then chose them as default, then edited the file version, that will not change those used by XOOPS even if the module is updated since the cloned ones are the default templates and updating those will only update the default set, not the chosen cloned templates. Does that help? |
