by Mazarin on 2009/11/4 8:39:06 Thanks for the input. I haven't had time to play around with IDE's yet, but the following are on my shortlist: - Eclipse - Codelobster - NetBeans Zend Studio is a bit too pricey I'm afraid.

by dbman on 2009/11/4 4:30:35 It depends on your development environment. The best way to test for a specific version of PHP and MySQL is to use those specific versions. A good PHP editor or IDE will have the ability validate and debug code for specific versions. With Zend Studio you can pick project specific PHP versions for both the PHP interpreter and executable. I am sure other IDEs offer this functionality as well.

by Mazarin on 2009/10/21 7:03:26 Are there any tools that can help in this work, i.e. to check PHP code for compatibility with PHP 5(.3) and SQL code for compatibility with MySQL 5?
