by chefry on 2009/3/7 23:16:13 I agree. XOOPS should enforce certain standards. This is one of them, another should be the ability to upload photos from the desktop instead of FTP into some batch subdirectory

by Catzwolf on 2009/3/7 23:06:50 I personally would like to see an end to templates within modules altogether, but some might not agree with me. But, yes, this overriding template is not a good method and should be discouraged.

by trabis on 2009/3/7 16:05:14 Themes overriding templates does not seem good idea. What if module developers upgrade their templates? Maybe the core should have an option to enable or disable template overriding. Problems like this would be easier to detect and solve.

by chefry on 2009/3/7 15:46:09 I found it. A file called news_item.html that was in the theme director. It had the same line in it. Once I deleted the line it stopped showing the date and number of reads
