Hi,
I have tried all possible solutions provided on the whole site or in this topic but seems not lucky. On the same hosting 2.2 version is not giving any issue but unable to setup 2.4.1 and seems page 6 is only for lucky people. Waiting to have any reply.

I have heard the may be sessions are not saved so how to check and how to set it so sessions should be saved as I gave write privs on all mentioned folders then what else.

Thanks

Well, dot5hosting send me an e-mail with this information:
Quote:
To ensure optimum MySQL performance for all our customers, we are limiting the number of queries per login to 50,000 per hour and the duration of individual queries to 60 seconds.

I think this limits are the problem. I didn't had time yet to check and change XOOPS install, so this is what I'm doing:
- Using Xampp, I install an local basic Xoops.
- Upload all files by FTP.
- Using phpMySQL I do a backup in my local installation, and upload this backup on my MySQL's Internet installation.
- Using FTP, edit the mainfile.php to the right values (phisical and virtual path, DB name, etc.)

Well, it seems like he copied mainfile.dist.php to mainfile.php and filled in the mainfile.php by hand.
He had also already a running XOOPS on a local PC (with eg XAMPP) to copy from.

I have the same problem: Can not connect to Mysql.
I tried both "localhost" and the url listed on the web server.

I also use dot5hosting.com. What's the solution triwaca used to make the system work?

Thanks in advanced for any help I can get.
