| by barryc on 2009/12/12 6:26:56 Well, the answer is no, I hadn't checked whether the xforms captcha actually worked. The reason is that the xforms captcha doesn't appear on my forms because the forms cannot be seen unless the user is logged on in a particular group. My site uses reCaptcha since it has become apparent that the simple XOOPS captcha has been cracked. Unfortunately reCaptcha does not appear to completely prevent spurious registrations either. See here Having said all that, I just accessed an xforms form on my test server without logging on (after making that form accessible to anon). I submitted the form without filling in the xforms recaptcha and it was accepted, sending me the email for that test form. So, the xforms captcha does not work. Dylian, I hope you see this and can fix it. I'd suggest incorporating reCaptcha if you can. There is a thread about that here barryc. |

| by barryc on 2009/9/2 14:18:38 I'm using xforms on 2.3.3. The captcha works but you only see it if not logged on. I guess the rationale is that if you are already logged on you are assumed to be legitimate. My problem with Liaise was that the admin pages weren't working. I don't have that problem with xforms. barryC |

I tried xForms with 2.3.3 and 2.4.0 Beta, but the Captcha doesnt' seem to work. The Liaise on the same system seems to work fine. Anybody experienced the same problem? |
