by Anonymous on 2008/9/15 15:11:12 IIRC, Catzwolf_ uses (or used) x10hosting. He wouldn't have done so if something so basic as uploading a module wasn't allowed. Indeed, XOOPS is pretty-much useless without being able to upload stuff ![]() In addition to CBB3.08 you will also need to upload Frameworks 1.22 and xoopseditors 1.21. You can get all three from phppp's site at xoopsforge.com Make sure you upload Frameworks and xoopseditors as follows: your_xoops_root/class/xoopseditor your_xoops_root/Frameworks Then upload the CBB module to your_xoops_root/modules/newbb <---the cbb module directory is called "newbb"

by DarinAllan on 2008/9/15 14:47:08 Having not used x10hosting, I can not give a definitive answer, as I don't know what you can and can't do with your free XOOPS site eg. if it has any restrictions, but if you can upload a module then you can install CBB 3.08. The latest XOOPS is 2.0.18.2 so their XOOPS version is not too far behind, of course it is always wise to run the latest version though. Maybe someone who has used x10hosting can give a better answer. It may be best to ask the host if you can upload modules to your free XOOPS site first, I see they have a forum at x10hosting maybe you could ask there or email them. ;o)

by DarinAllan on 2008/9/15 3:07:10 Yes CBB 3.08 works on XOOPS 2.0.18.1. Why would you think it doesn't? ;o)
