| by chco2 on 2009/3/13 11:27:15 Have a look at this. Beta state, but working. Run it. Choose Source file (e.g. english language file). It will then show you all the lines that can be translated. Change the line to your language and press up or down arrow to aplly changes. When done, just close and in the same folder the new translated file (under a different name) can be found. Thinking of added some usefull tools in there to translate as well as make it a bit more betterlooking ;) Let me know how it goes, ok? Not fully tested yet. And ow.. its just a tool to make translating a bit easier, just the first stage. Perhaps Googletranslation, quick copy and paste for common phrases or words etc is what I'm thinking of. But as long as we don't have something better, and this tool does its job, I guess, we could use it locally. However, we would love to see somebody cleaning it up and make it usable. But the whole XOOPS translation concept needs an update. The world moved on and there are better ways how to do localization/internationalization. |
