| by Runeher on 2008/5/14 23:53:40 As i also commented on the topic... when syndicating rss from XOOPS i would prefer that the news is relevant to the average XOOPS user... therefore i suggest that site reviews is no longer accepted as news topics.. the whole point of syndication is to bring useful stuff to your own visitors, not feed them links to sites... what's really bad is that the site in question here, is in turkish, not the language the general xoopser understand... |

| by Runeher on 2008/5/13 22:45:45 I would suggest that all local support sites syndicate news from xoops.org, the mother site. That is if your users speak english well. If not, i would suggest that you translate the most important news and post it in your own news section so your users gets informed of what's going on. This will also benefit your site, as the content will be unique. If you are not familiar with syndication via RSS feeds, there is a module from GIJOE called xhld, that is perfect for syndication within XOOPS. The module even clones simply by copy it and changing it's name to xhld0, xhld1, ... |
