| by tom on 2008/4/12 13:43:11 If it was me making the site,I'd probably look at having something like Mastop Go2 module: http://www.mastop.com.br/produtos/go2/ I'd create an image/banner for seasonal periods, to promote those special reviews for say Valentines day. For bloggin you could always consider using the Xigg module, looks rather cool, it's a clone of Digg, so people could dig those reviews on your website: Forum post about Xigg You could also consider something like Smart Sections from the Smart Factory, that's a pretty cool content module to use: http://smartfactory.ca/ I'm not sure if XOOPS supports block cloning yet, but if it does you could use that to handle content on the front page from the module blocks. For mapquest or something similar you could always consider using EFQDirectory: http://www.efqdirectory.com/ Hope this is of some help to you. I'd love to see the final product when your done. |

| by alittlemisfi on 2008/4/12 3:41:34 I wanted to do a food review website thinking using XOOPS as i am more familiar with it (non-programmer here :() and i need module suggestion/help. 1. It would be like blog, with articles and pictures. 2. Reviews by editors, and by guess/members are separated (like gamespot.com). 3. To be able to included online map such as multimap in the page to show locations. The module i'm thinking is NEWS, but for the mainpage, I wanted to show more than 1 reviews, and existing image manager of XOOPS keep making image go MIA. Any suggestion on which combo should i used? Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks |
