Gijoe's modules are awesome, I agree, most of us are using his modules, But I just wanted to pop in and say if I was at his place and was ignored so much by developers, i had sooner stopped supporting XOOPS !!

i really think with GIJOE's decision to stop the support for xoops, i wonder what will happen to some of the imp. modules made by him are generally used by almost all sites using XOOPS as a cms. I really hope the XOOPS core dev and GIJOE can come to some understanding, and we can all get support for his great modules.

GIJOE's modules are excellent and many of us use them. It's clear from his posts that he's frustrated with the break in backwards compatability from 2.0.14 onwards and his having to repeat the same thing over and over again.

There is a good opportunity with 2.3 to restore core compatability with GIJOE's fine modules without the need for extra files/hacks and I hope it is taken.

It will be to XOOPS advantage to have GIJOE back on side. are the core dev's in contact with him like those from some XOOPS forks are?

This is not a whinge - just a sincere hope!
