Community Coordinators-

There are two other resources that will be available soon.

They are http://www.xoopslance.com and http://xoopsexperts.com/

Both of these sites are pay for services type sites. They are not part of the 'official' XOOPS project or community sites however, they may be useful for people who are willing to pay for services. We may refer people there only as option, we will still help them here if they choose

When referring people to either of these sites, be sure to include a disclaimer that the site that you are referring them to is not part of the XOOPS project, thus we have no control of their content; or something to that effect.

I urge the Community Coordinators to visit both these sites and become familiar with their content and processes.

From the thread where I announced my resignation to the board. This post was/is on the Project teams announcement by phppp.

I included an email address in the post.

DJ,

I am contacting you to let you know I think I have been inappropiately placed on the Community Coordinators team. I am a take charge type of person, who when I see something that needs to be done must go ahead and proceed to accomplish the task.

For instance I see we have Forum administration privledges but no authority to set up the forms that are being requested by the design team to do their work. People are spread out all over trying to do a job and doing their dead level best to keep it quiet until some other announcement comes from you.

The way I see it is you have made the announcements and you are waiting for the teams to come forth with their plans. I believe everyone should be included and it is up to us to implement the plan you have laid out and make it happen.

I am not a good team player, and at 70 years old I am not likely to change.
I wish this team the best of luck, and if you have some place else you might use me I would be more than happy to consider it providing you make your wants and desires made know to me.

Thank you for your very excellent contributions to the development of opensource for the benefit of all.

Darcy Stonesifer.

This is the stated reason for my resignation and my only reason.

The reply I received from DJ was
Quote:

For anything related to the coordinator team, please contact the team leader.

Thank you
Bluestockings resigns

Bluestockings has resigned as a Community Coordinator.

Her reasons for resigning, are hers, I will not post them. She may, if she so chooses.

A replacement has not been named yet.

Well it looks like we're introducing ourselves, So....

I'm Marc Spieth. Also known as Northern.
I was given the calling of Mod #4
( some how I got the short straw... )

It looks like Im the youngest here, sence im only 29.
Ive been married for 6 years, and we have a 5 year old son.
Cerrently I reside in the great state of Alaska, hince the user name. Northern, as in the Northern most part of the united states.

I cerrently have 2 jobs.
the first would be the automotive field.
Im a ASE trained tech. I deal with dianostics. such as check engine lights,abs,transmissions,rear-ends,about 110% of the drive train. cerrently im waiting on sergery on my right rotator cuff, so ive had tones of time to work my 2nd job.

My 2nd Job is my small but bizzy little company S.M.S .
S.M.S is a localy based and owned company that has its roots in the web for little over 2 years.
we relocate other people and/or companys that have had problems with other webmasters and/or hosts, to a cost-effective
host, set up the accounts and then tranfer the companys data from one host to another ( if the data is still there )
if all data is gone we offer to make a new site for them at cost. sometimes outsourcing if needed.
Ive cerrently expanded the services, by buying a pair of Dell server blades.
( now i just need to learn how to use them, LOL )

I watched XOOPS start to have problems, and members fighting amonst them selves, and ive seen many people leave do to this. threw this time, i asked my self what should, or what could i do to help?
I was sent a Invite to join the CCT ( Community Coordination Team ) by the cerrent CCT leader. kc0maz.

I volunteered for a role in the Community Coordination Team mainly because I felt the community needed this team desperately, and because I think I have the patience to find out what it is that people actually mean when they speak up. Too many people don't pay due attention to what is not always most eloquently put forth.

I would have said this, but i was beat to it., LOL
