| by BlueStocking on 2007/4/28 1:51:27 the order of importance First index.html << if you have one of these then your customers will not get to >> index.htm or index.php index.htm << if you have a file named this than your customers will not get to your >> index.php (unless the type into the url http://your site name/index.php) _______________________ What this means is if your php programing goes south. You have an html version you can put into use. IF you can get to it with direct addressing then you know it is NOT a server down situation. IF you can't get to it you know the server is down. It has the added advantage of the login ... and maybe other features that may work. Making trouble shooting easier. Don't rename it unless you have a failure and want to put it to use as your front page. BlueStocking |
