| by macmend on 2006/3/21 23:31:11 this doesn't really apply to me, I am on a mac and the firewall on OS 10 is pretty basic, no other aspect of it is not working. I have excluded shoutbox from the simplified URL hack and that seems to allow me to login, but on log out the block still shows my webpage UPDATE: sussed it....changed the permissions and took shoutbox out of simplified URL, sorted it, thanks for help and advice |

| by dave_uk on 2006/3/21 23:18:34 on my system i am running zone alarm securtiy suite so i simply reduced the strictness of the cookie filter as far as i know there isnt a need to forward anyt ports to allow shout box to work |

| by macmend on 2006/3/21 23:15:54 well at present I just have a software fw running, what port do i need to open or forward to make it work, and if that is the case surely anyone accessing it is going to have the same problem. What cookie does shoutbox create? |

| by dave_uk on 2006/3/21 23:12:14 i had the same problem when i installed shout box but i found in the end it was my firewall blocking the cookies so i changed the settings on that and it worked fine |
