I don't think developers such as Phppp are French.

Herko is not a developer, he is a Manager. Mith is concentrating on his own projects.

2.3.0 was announced only a few months ago. 2.2.4 was released about this time also. That is less than a year.

LOL, it almost looks like that, doesn't it? Since the lead dev SKalpa is french, it is easier for him to communicate in French, and easier to recruit frenchies as developers -at first. Skalpa is fluent in english writing tho, so more developers will be recruited who are not French.

Mithrandir left all official XOOPS positions, including the core dev team, because he didn't want to do it anymore. Do a search on these forums for his explanation post. It's nothing dramatic, he just chose to quit whil he was ahead He's not quit XOOPS, just the official positions. As for me, I've never been a developer, nr will I ever become one.

Yup, and in one year many things change, including new ideas, live interfering, changes in teams, motivation challenges, etc. etc. As with everything here, it is difficult to set any daye for just about anything.
Hang in there, the French have seen a preview of what is coming and are blown away. So it can't be much longer before the next alpha is released.

I read the last post on http://devteam.xoops.org/ and i ask me some questions :

- Is XOOPS core team became a french team ?
- Where are the developpers like Mithrandir or Herko ? Is there alway in the core team.
- Since 1 years a new XOOPS release is announced but .... and i'am lost...
