I would advise you PhpMyVisites.
It's a great php script and works fine with XOOPS (click here)
It's free, open source and available in many languages.

I use XOOPS-Stats for my site stats but I also look at what AWSTATs shows me.
I think AWSTATs is probably one of the best stats programs there is. It isnt php, but perl and does need access to your web sites http access logs, but generates terrific info outa that.

No. Have not made a tutorial, yet.

I use the same database as XOOPS but a different prefix. Has worked flawlessly with no troubles.

Any warpig tutorial on how to using/installing it?

One first question...May i use the same XOOPS db to install it, or I need a separeted one?
