I'm afraid that we should be finished in two, three months maximum, so I'll have to try to adapt something useful, and at the same time be prepared to migrate to the new version of AMS. I was thinking in the lines of creating an intermediate table between news and topics, changing "topicid=xxx" for "topicid in (xxxx, yyyy, zzzz)" in every query, and converting the topicid member in the news object in PHP into an array. Also, when editing news, the topic selection should be a combo with multiple selection. Any other thing anyone thinks I should change?. Thanks for your answers, everybody. |

Well, at least I install it "from a box" and had only one problem with Sections Moderators (can add, can't remove without huge set of errors and problem)... And it works - for me and my humble needs - here |

| by brash on 2005/4/6 11:58:26 Being able to list articles under multiple topics is a feature planned for AMS, but if you're wanting something soon (i.e next month or two) you'll probably have to sort something out yourself. |

| by paketep on 2005/4/6 11:47:36 Looks like ArMS is a bit buggy. With the 0.4 version that I got from xoops.org I had to retouch manually the SQL just to install the module, and now I can't add articles because it says that the description field is wrong (it looks ok to me). I'm not sure ArMS is cooked enough to be used in a production server. If nobody has other options, I think I'll have to study the entrails of the news module and modify it for our purposes (/me crosses fingers) |
