Membership 1.06
Membership maintence and groups shopping cart!
Sponsored By Aphex Themes

Membership is a module which maintains your user groups for paid access through XPayment to your website. You can set which groups people are to expire from and expired to as well as groups you can purchase access to. It is complete with permission and is a basic Groups Cart for XOOPS 2.x.

This module utilzes other module, these modules are XPayment and Profile. This means you will need to have these modules installed as well to use this module. There is also a cron in the modules folder you can find the file in /modules/membership/cron and should be set to run at least once a day. But it doesn't matter how oftern you run it.

hi wish ...!!!

I am that did'n understand how this new version, or only works with xpayments.

It would be best for webmasters to implement both versions.

Both versions work with XPayment only! - the popular payment gateway solution.. Comes with the XPayment Plugin..

I installed xpayments, but I no longer see the user list

I really don't know what you mean by 'userlist' timgno your comment is to ambigious which means it leaves people to confusion that you inability to explain yourself is some fault of the software.

There is users in XPayment, in the groups section but this is to do with Invoice Brokers, Invoice Collection Officers and Invoice Accounts most people wouldn't use this but it is a feature for larger websites with staff that can collect on an invoice, account or broker on an invoice and has nothing to do with Membership at all. and for that part of XPayment to display a user in that group they have to be a) selected in preferences b) assigned to that group

I assure you all those titles are finished and tested and will never have a new post again!!

Beside I am in the market for full time employment at the moment so i have been rounding off the bugs there are and leaving so i can leave chronolabs hosting permanently without a hitch.. Well I would say timgno from the 10Tb of modules downloaded off me every month most people are not struggling to use any of it, as I see very little help questions for it.

Remember 10Tb of Modules where they are around 40Kb each on adverage. No help tickets for them to answer all that oftern.

Simon, I think, we need documentation for your modules, showing people how to do certain things. This will leave out any potential misunderstanding.

Well they come from a co-op mamba, if you want to find a technical writer or document them yourself, i am sure i could add you to the payout option in this co-op like most in australia.. I am sure your morage would appericate it..

No really mamba when there is no questions from 10 Terabytes of my modules downloaded every month and people can look up way to contact me quiet easily and I only occassionally get an email at all so i would say the people struggling with them are more so lesser causes on the highway, just take take take, and when you wont put my banner on here... Need I say more.. I really don't even recieve enough donations or business to make documenting the 10Tb leech of your end users worthwhile. (Here look at some statistics you like those - efy report 2010)

I mean I am happy to set up php documentor and document the functions as per the requirements of a 'programmer' but i am not a 'technical writter' mamba. A number of times timngo has flag errors that don't exist in the concurrent download, nor has he checked hash info like I have asked him.. So really I am only answering a... well i will keep my punk attitude out of it for the moment..

I understand, but placing just few screenshots in a sequence to show how things are progressing doesn't require elaborate technical skills.

Or maybe you could do a short video tutorial? You've done some of those in the past, although using a http://screencast.com or something like this would help

Or some of your users could help you with it...

Those users leech from www.xoops.org, they never sign up, they never communicate or say a word of thanks, nor do they donate or make the time worthwhile writting this stuff, bah, OS is just a pipe dream. I am getting a job and moving away from the 6 years on this forum.

I hear so little, but see my files widely used.

Simon,

I understand very well be what you say, and what it says mamba.

What I mean is that if mamba is committed to change the GUI in a standard way and that we must all respect, that goes for all those that create modules and themes.

If we don't order this, there is just messy.

I think for all the modules must follow the directives he has given us mamba, so we can move forward together in new time at X3.

As for the membership module, why not create membership-xpaiment?

I say this because if I installed the old official version, this is overwritten and can no longer use it.

I hope to be precise in thought

Good well have fun doing that. you will need to change the xoops_version.php these are GNU GPL they are ment to be changed for specific system by a programmer. timgno.. It has nothing to do with any membership module previously.

Good well when he has documented the GNU changes that have been done, with a video presentation and examples of code that does that he can change all the modules on my list and give me back SVN access again so i can commit these to the SVN.

But all i have seen so far on the project is a loose forum post, with no technical data or examples or anything of typical basis of design and implementation guides, so next time you want to comment on a half baked relatily on a forum post somewhere lost in newbb then please provide suitable data..

I really don't have time for this. here check the time where i am http://time.chronolabs.coop?gmt=10

The examples are all the updated modules, like the Marquee:

But to make it easier for you, I've modified your xPayment so you can see how it works. There are still few more cosmetics to be done, but at least you can see the direction.

Download the modified xPayment here and let me know what you think.

I also started to write a short tutorial about how to update existing modules to the new XOOPS 2.5.0 GUI "look & feel", so this should make it easier to understand. I hope to finish it this week.

nice job mamba, this is really fair and great for xoops,

for example, this could be added to system, equal to the banners section, whether it would be a long job
