XOOPS: XOOPS Euro-Summit (June 18-19) in Frankfurt?

I will be in traveling to Europe in June, and would love to meet our European XOOPS developers and users

Frankfurt seems to be a good central location, so people from Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, and other countries could easily drive or fly in.

While this could be a great opportunity to meet each other in person, our goal would be also to have couple good educational workshops and exchange experiences and know-how, especially as it relates to Xoops Engine.

Who would be interested in having a first XOOPS Euro-Summit sometime on the weekend of June 18-19 in Frankfurt?

If not Frankfurt, what other location would be prefered for those of you who would be interested in having our first XOOPS Euro-Summit?

Could representatives from local XOOPS support sites in Europe translate the info and ask on their Websites who from their users and developers would be interested?

I'd like to come, but Frankfurt is a bit far and a bit expensive for me as a student to get there (and I don't have a driving license xD).

I'd prefer Brussels (live a few minutes away from Brussels). But I'll try my best (but I doubt I could come :( )

I agree with vamptrix, Brussel it's a better destination because it's easier to go there with low cost flight for everyone in Europe.
Amsterdam, Munich, London or Paris can also be good locations.

But everywhere it will be, I'll do my best to get there. Enjoy Xoops ;)

If its London then I make it for sure as i'm coming from Edinburgh... but then again since I'll be flying from here might as well be another country.

I don't know... maybe it should be closest to the country it will have the most attendees ?

In Brussels, I would surely show up.
Frankfurt is less evident.

I would hope that we would do some car pooling, i.e. you could drive with somebody else.

But let's first find out how many people would be interested in participating in the XOOPS Euro-Summit.

Then we can figure out by doing a survey, which would be the best city to meet, where the highest number of people could join us.

So if you're interested in the XOOPS Euro-Summit, please let us know here...

I don't make enough money from XOOPS to afford to travel to frankfurt.. As a pensioner I think something in australia would be good we get drupal and joomla conferences why not xoops.

I would love to go but we're set for Sofia on june 16. But the idea of these summits are great. Gives people a chance to exchange ideas and get to know each other in real life.
