Ive modified my theme, but why cant I see the changes?
The chances are that all your modifications are there but the reason for not seeing them is because your browser is still seeing the old version. After making changes to a theme, you should always carry out the following:

1- be sure that you set "Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" to "YES" in General Settings!
2- Delete all the files (except any index file) in the templates_c folder in the root of your site.
3- Configure your browser to always look for a new version of a website, or
4- Delete all your browsers cached files.
5- Refresh your browser and visit your pages again.

This nearly always remedies the problem. If your changes are still not visible, then it's time to re-check your work.

 One more thing

I tried all the above suggestions, but I still couldn't get my additions to show on the module index page.

I have been using my website cPanel "file manager" or Dreamweaver to play with the files. And they were working before. But wouldn't this time.

Then I remembered that a few hours before, I clicked generate templates for this module in my admin>templates manager area.

So I tryed to add my changes with the "edit" template, in the template manager area. BINGO, first try and the changes were there finnally. It took me a hour to figure this out.

Apparently after you generate the templates in the template manager, you have to edit the templates in there also.

If I am incorrect, please say so. But this is the conclusion I just came to.

Later,
Rob

 Don't delete index file?

Being tired, I just deleted everything from templates_c. What is the 'index file'?

 Still nothing...

I don't have that first step's option.

Only thing I have is "Check Templates for Modifications?" I figured this to be what I need and have it clicked to yes.

I went through and followed the steps, even deleted the .html theme files I tried to update and left them off the server, but when I refresh, they are STILL there!

Did you know ?

you can use 'cronjob' in CPanel to complete backups of your database.

Random question

Is it possible to set up more than one user with access to the administration menus? It seems that Webmaster is not enough.

I am using 2.0.15 if that makes a difference.
