Virtue Park - Now Open
After a hectic 2 weeks of development and testing Virtue Park is now open.
Virtue Park is an online community aiming to provide users of all kind access to a large database of knowledge in the form of forums, tutorials, articles and downloads.
We also supply Free PHP + MySQL enabled hosting for those people who are in need, with no ads.
Virtue Park also includes various small subsites such as free image hosting (photography only) and a PHP pastebin for users to post their broken code and allow other users to view and make modifications to it.
The site is completely run by the power of Xoops and offers a range of information on it such as themes, hacks etc.
Free Xoops hosting accounts are also available on request and the latest version of Xoops is automatically installed to your account, which saves you having to upload it.
I hope to see everyone there on the forums :)

Articles version 0.06 released
Version 0.06 of the "Articles" Xoops module has been released.
The main changes since the last public release (v0.04) are:
o Articles are now searchable via the Xoops search interface. Titles, descriptions and actual article text is searched.
o French and German translations added (thanks to Hervé Thouzard and Frank Black).
o Most of the pages are now localised to make language translations easier.
o New "printer friendly" page added.
o Xoops codes now supported for article text - for people who prefer to rely on HTML entirely, this can be "turned off" in a configuration file.
o Cleaned up a bit of HTML.

Important Cache issue resolved
Draven has found a solution to why some modules didn't use the module-wide caching settings properly.
The solution is to set the template before including the header.php as described in This thread

not yet ready, I know, but perhaps YOU want to take part in which direction it will go. Have a look at XOOPSfacTorRY and see its going on...
I decided to go online while changing some more detailed things online. I think, i will give xoopsfactory another possibility to find a new destination.
I would love to see xoopsfactory as a portal for xoops commercial user. I will love to give potential clients an ability to see how much companies are using xoops for their commercial site. i#ve seen many sites comming up in the last month and some of them are great, but we had to put it together at one place i think.
But if this should work, i will need the help of those users who are interested or use xoops for commercial themselves.
I would love to see news of commercial interest, news of commercial webmaster interest, links to commercial projects all within xoops gathered at one [this] place.
As it works like things are in my head, there will be:
-links to commercial xoops sites
-links of interest for xoops commercial webmaster
-useful little tips
-jobsearch [services with xoops modules and themes]
-news about releases, experiences with xoops and implementation in client sites
- etc..
I will begin the next days to fit the needed modules. But ?.. WHAT is YOUR opinion ?
