Language Tool 0.07 released
It's a long time since the previous version be released. :)
What is this?
Although I think it's not that hard to understand what this tool is if you could install it first. Lots of people still have no idea about it and have no interest to try it before getting satisfied answer.
It's sure a tool about language. You could translate your XOOPS (or XOOPSCUBE) and the modules in it to any language you like through this tool without taking care(in the most situations) if you lost one line or add one unnecessary quote.

XOOPS.org redesign and content renewal project started!
The XOOPS.org websites get over 10.000 visitors per day and is in drastic need of an improvement of the user experience. The websites have grown tremendously over the years, making it difficult to find what you are looking for unless you know your way around.
The XOOPS.org redesign and content renewal project is meant to enhance and improve the user experience using the means that are available. Also, this project will provide the community the means to participate in reaching this goal. To this end, the framework of the new site is provided, and community collaboration will give shape and content to this framework.
You can participate in this project by joining in the discussions and tasks in this forum!

WVU-P CIT/IS Program from Nuke to XOOPS!
It has taken several months of planning and a few weeks of designing, configuring, coding and migrating data, but as promised, it is finally here! Announcing the new and improved WVU-P CIT/IS Program website!

We migrated the old CIT program site from PHP-Nuke to XOOPS over the paste few weeks. The migration went smooth and was relatively painless.
Classes begin on January 9th, so while we're putting the finishing touches on the site, we thought we would present it to the XOOPS community in hopes getting of some feedback.

Core74, theme development from scratch.
As we have read a couple of articles and forum posts on Xoops about theme development, we thought it would be fun to let people witness the birth of a new theme.
Currently we are re-designing our Core site, but this time not behind close doors, but in public and in full view.
Although the site is in Dutch (Enlish translation will follow), and we are a few weeks ahead now, we are sure we can contribute and/or tickle people to get creative.
So, if your favorite site has nothing news to tell you, pay us a visit at Core74, and let's have the fun together.

Mozilla introduced prefetch feature in Firefox 1.0.7 (or 1.0.6?) as default and shortly after Google introduced Web Accelerator based on prefetch. The self-claimed goal of prefetching is "to speed up web rendering for users".

Guanajuato has released a theme called neoblue, this theme is based on a clean style, in blue tones, This theme is fully compatible with xoops 2.2 and include language files in spanish and english.

xAsset - version 0.85 released
Panther Software Publishing is pleased to announce the release of xAsset 0.85.
Xasset is a Xoops module geared towards secure digital distribution, such as licensed software, mp3 files, documents etc. XAsset provides a mechanism where admins can configure there applications (or media) and issue licenses against there. Clients can then view these licenses and download licensed files.
Changes in 0.85
[size=x-small]1. Better mime type handling by using class/mimetypes.inc.php when downloading files.
2. If user has an older order with status "In Cart" then it would be lost if a later order was completed.
3. Added membership expiry support.
4. Updated help file and PDF on new features.
5. Cosmetic changes.
6. Please note that a new table has been added an some table structures have been made. Please click the "Check Tables" link after the update.[/size]

Noord-Beveland launches Large Touristic Portal
Lets start the new year with yet another (if I may say so) beautifull website build by SOFTECHMATRIX with use of the Xoops-platform. The site has officially been launched today. This has been a very large project where we collaborated with two other companies who have been doing content and photography. The layout was designed by us completely from scratch and based solely on the Logo that was provided as only guide for layout style and colors.
